Blind fold

Deformed blind fold made from hardend veg tanned leather . A kind of Texas Chainsaw Masacare

I was experimenting with doing ‘Cuir Bouilli’, soaking leather in boiling water for different lengths of time, then moulding it on a form.
I wanted to produce pieces that had a dark sinister quality. At first glance to me the muzzel looked like a Highway Mans disguise. or Hannibal Lecter’s look from the Silence of the Lambs
Bondage collar, formed with natural veg tanned leather, hand sewn seams and straps . Two leather cuff with buckle straps

I like the look of the natural veg tan leather, with just a little saddle oil it comes up with a nice golden colour. I havn’t decided what metal wear to attach to the neck brace.

Hobbles made from 2″ scrap leather hand sewn with 3 inch brass ring and 2″ buckles.

I made these for my friends 30th birthday, 5mm dyed veg tanned leather hand stiched 1 1/4 inch strap and buckles with a 2″ ring
I had problems at first as the leather was very stiff to work, so I had to skive the to pieces to be sewn and riveted. Once This had been done I was still unsure if i had picked the right leather. But after i had burnished the ends edges and punched the belt holes it all came together endingin a good result.
This belt was made for my sister Antonia, it was my first belt i have made.
I glued two pieces of veg tan leather together then hand stitched all the way round the edge, I was very pleased with the result but it seemed to take ages to finish.
